    ·         0.5WTE (18.5 hours) initially and 1.0WTE (37 hours) from June 2021

    ·         Temporary specified purpose (until approx. June 2022)

    ·         HSE funded

    ·         Based in Harold’s Cross & Blackrock Hospice

      

    An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Pharmacy Department at OLH&CS. The Senior Pharmacist will work with the Chief 1 Pharmacist and pharmacy team in the provision of a comprehensive pharmacy service and in leading areas of service development as required. The pharmacy service includes dispensary services, ward-based clinical services across the Harold’s Cross and Blackrock sites, medication safety initiatives and medicines information services, including the award-winning national medicines information service for palliative care, Palliative Meds Info. Pharmacy services are provided to the three clinical specialties at OLH&CS, Palliative Care, Care of the older Person and Rheumatology.

    Essential Requirements

    ·         Be registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (The Pharmacy Regulator) or be entitled to be so registered.

    ·         Minimum of three years relevant post registration experience as a pharmacist

    ·         Experience working in hospital pharmacy practice

    Department of Health & Children salary scales will apply for HSE funded posts. A panel may be formed from which future Senior Pharmacist (temporary, full time) positions may be filled in line with Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services’ panel management guidelines.
