Ref. No: 2019/175 2 x Senior Pharmacist (Maternity leave cover) Temporary Fulltime

Job Summary:

• The successful candidates will be essential members of the Pharmacy Team, ensuring safe and effective use of medications.
• The Pharmacists will work as part of a progressive and dynamic team to ensure optimal outcomes for patients, gaining extensive experience of medication use in maternal, newborn and gynaecological care.
• The successful candidates will participate in ongoing service developments with particular specialist roles including clinical trials and antimicrobial stewardship.
• There will be opportunities to gain experience in electronic prescribing, audit and quality improvement methodologies.
• There will also be scope for involvement in ongoing collaborative research initiatives within the hospital with themes including Medication Safety, Health Informatics, Optimal Medication use in Pregnancy/Lactation, Maternal and Newborn Randomised Controlled Trials, Vaccination in Pregnancy and Venous Thromboembolism Prevention.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Registered member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland or be entitled to be so registered.
• 3 years relevant post-registration experience.
