HPAI is proud to announce a unique opportunity to receive feedback education from the EAHP Antimicrobial Academy Seminar held in Vienna Oct 2017.

The Seminar will focus on the background and development of an Antimicrobial Stewardship Programme.

The Seminar is aimed at new antimicrobial pharmacists or those looking to develop a service or interest.  Topic outline:

  • ·         Guidelines and framework of Antibiotic Stewardship
  • ·         Consumption surveillance methods: How to collect and report data, how to avoid common pitfalls
  • ·         Measures/interventions to influence antibiotic use and consumption
  • ·         Practical application of antibiotic use data
  • ·         How to implement Antibiotic Stewardship without having the resources for that? 
  • ·         Quality improvement approach to optimise antimicrobial prescribing
  • ·         How to engage and educate healthcare professionals and the public in antimicrobial stewardship

The Seminar will be a mixture of presentations & group work.
