EAHP Seminar 1:  Medicines Shortages – Causation and Approaches to Improvements

An opportunity is available for the HPAI to send and pay for 2 members to this  seminar.  If you are interested in attending the seminar on behalf of the HPAI please express your interest by completing the registration form.  If there are more than 2 members who apply to attend the event a decision on which members attend on behalf of the HPAI will be made by the HPAI Education Committee based on the information provided by each applicant.

Please note in order to attend this event on behalf of the HPAI you need to fulfill the following criteria,

  1. be hospital pharmacists who have experience with medicines shortages in their hospital;
  2. be responsible for procurement and distribution and with a strong interest in shortages.
  3. be fluent in English;
  4. attend all seminar sessions;
  5. complete seminar evaluation form;
  6. give presentation and/or demonstrate knowledge gained during workshops and seminar concluding session;
  7. must be able to accurately disseminate the knowledge obtained during the academy seminar within their country via seminars or workshops and provide documentation that dissemination was done (i.e. national workshop agendas). The national associations then need to report back on how this was accomplished to the EAHP via the country report which is presented each year during the EAHP General assembly.

The Hospital Pharmacists Association of Ireland (HPAI) is a voluntary organisation that represents it members on issues relevant to hospital pharmacists.

The Hospital Pharmacists Association of Ireland exists to:

  • further the development of hospital pharmacy practices.
  • assist in the provision of continuing pharmaceutical education.
  • represent the views of the hospital pharmacist on issues of relevance to hospital pharmacy.
