The successful candidate will be assigned to the new grade of Pharmacist Executive Manager as part of the new hospital career structure. This is an exciting opportunity to take a lead role in the day to day operations of the pharmacy team in Wexford General Hospital. It would involve playing a central role in the development and implementation of the highest quality pharmacy service, facilitating the best clinical care and patient safety in an environment that supports teamwork, professionalism, efficacy and hard work.

The team has grown significantly in size over the past number of years and now includes 8 pharmacists and 11 pharmaceutical technicians. The pharmacist team includes specialist posts in the areas of Medicines Optimisation and Antimicrobial Stewardship. Our clinical ward service is patient-centred and supportive of a ward-based technician training programme. We have also recently extended our Oncology service to a 5 day service.
