Mater Private Network Dublin has an exciting opportunity for senior grade pharmacists in our aseptic compounding unit / haem / onc service.
Mater Private Dublin is a 214 bed acute model 4 hospital with a wide range of specialities including a busy haem / onc service, cardiology and cardiothoracics, ophthalmology, ED, ITU among others.
This role is open to candidates with 3 years or more hospital pharmacy experience.
Mater Private Network implemented a full Electronic Healthcare Record across the hospital and in ambulatory care - Meditech - (EHR) in Sept 2024. Meditech is used for haem / onc clinical, regimen and prescription management.
The successful candidate(s) will join our aseptics haem / onc pharmacy team to support the optimization of medicines management in this speciality. There is also an opportunity to gain clinical pharmacy experience in other areas of the hospital and to develop your healthcare informatics skills in medicines management.
This is an exciting opportunity where we will leverage electronic prescribing and medicines management in the area of haem / onc to improve pharmaceutical care, streamline production and reduce the risk of medication errors.
At Mater Private we have embarked upon a digital transformation project. In medicines management, all clinical areas are now using automated dispensing cabinets as part of the clinical stock management system. We also plan to continue to automate medicines further by implementing a new pharmacy operating system, a new compounding software system and further automation in the dispensary and compounding unit.
