GALWAY HOSPICE Pharmacist (Maternity Cover) Position – 21 hpw (0.6 FTE). 

Reporting to the Chief Pharmacists, the Pharmacist, with the support of the Pharmacy team, will ensure that all work programmes are completed to a high standard.   Candidates will:

• Be a registered Pharmacist with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI).
• Have at least 3-5 years satisfactory post registration experience in a Pharmacy position.
• Experience in Hospital / Hospice setting is desirable.
• Experience in supporting staff development.
• Demonstrate evidence of up-to-date pharmaceutical knowledge.
• Possess the requisite knowledge and ability for the proper discharge of the duties of the office (as outlined in the job description and specification).
• Have experience / interest in taking part in multidisciplinary committees, clinical audit, educational initiatives, medication safety initiatives, meeting national standards e.g. HIQA standards.
• Experience in developing policies, procedures and guidelines desirable but not essential.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• IT skills.
