Senior Antimicrobial Pharmacist

We are seeking to recruit a senior antimicrobial pharmacist to join the Pharmacy department at the Hermitage Medical Clinic. The Pharmacy has responsibility for the provision of clinical pharmacy, dispensary, and medicines management education and training services within the Hospital. The Pharmacy provides support across the clinical areas of the hospital and this role is important in making a significant contribution, developing and maintaining best practice in Pharmacy services. This includes the provision of the highest level of safety and regulatory compliance.

Essential requirements for the ideal candidate:

• ·         Be registered in the Register of Pharmaceutical  Society of Ireland or be entitled to be registered
• ·         Masters Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent
• ·         Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent
• ·         Minimum of three years’ experience as a Clinical Pharmacist
• ·         Demonstrate the ability to appropriately recommend, substantiate and communicate therapeutic options and dosage regimens for patients receiving anti-infectives
• ·         Previous experience in delivering training and education
• ·         Demonstrable use of clinical audit to improve practice
• ·         Directorate pharmacist experience including working with Clinicians
